Purpose of Survey
The goal of the survey is to identify what the Parish is doing well, and where there are developmental needs (what we are not doing, or not doing well (i.e. publicizing our ministries, events, etc.))
Since we are looking to evaluate what we are doing well, the results need to be analyzed in a variety of ways:
Overall results
Raw results purely quantitative - no qualitative analysis
Categorize by three categories: Excellent - Good; Fair to Poor; Not Applicable and Not Aware.
More qualitative - Exclusion of Not Aware and Not Applicable from analysis of Satisfaction
Where ministries are known and utilized, the level of satisfaction needs to be analyzed; therefore, to not skew the data, it is necessary to omit the "Not Applicable" and "Not Aware" replies as follows:
- Not applicable - Most likely represents responses to topics that are not applicable to the respondent (ex: Religious Program, respondee does not have children utilizing the program.) and therefore cannot reply knowledgeably to
the question.
- Not aware - Most likely represents topics that the respondent did not know existed within the parish, therefore, the respondent is not able to knowledgeably reply. This however prompts that we further explore "why" the
respondent is not aware.
