Parish Assessment Survey
If you have not yet done so, we ask you to please complete and return your survey as soon as possible.
We feel this survey is an important tool which will help us better serve the needs of our parishioners and identify any
areas which we need to develop.  It also gives our members a chance to express their views as we prepare for future
growth of our parish.  Additional copies may be obtained by visiting the parish website, www.sthenry.net or by stopping
by the rectory office.  Return your survey by placing it in the offering basket at Mass or bring it to the Rectory office.
Survey results will be reported in the Fall

Italian Chapel at Basilica Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

When the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception was constructed in Washington, D.C., a number of chapels were erected to honor
the many ethnic groups who have migrated to the United States.  Sadly, there is no chapel to honor the Italians in the United States.  I have joined the Italian
Bishops of the United States to spearhead a drive to raise the necessary funds to construct the Italian Chapel of Our Lady of Pompei.  The name highlights
our Italian roots and commemorates our Italian heritage.
If anyone wishes to make a donation to enable us to complete this worthwhile project, please make your check out to the Basilica of the Immaculate
Conception and send it to me at the rectory.
If anyone wishes further information, please feel free to call me.

Soon our young people will be heading back to their various
schools…some near, others starting college, rather far.
We wish them well, and we promise them our prayers for a
successful school year filled with new discoveries and
added challenges that will help form them into the needed
leaders of tomorrow.  May all those who teach also know our
gratitude for their vocation that adds so much to the
lives of our children.
ALL SAINTS CATHOLIC ACADEMY
Tremendous progress is being made behind the scenes to prepare All Saints Catholic Academy for the upcoming school year.  Painted classrooms and
offices, enhanced lighting, new carpeting in the offices and elsewhere, wiring to bring Internet access to every classroom, and the installation of the new
ASCA signage on the outside of the school are just a few highlights of the numerous maintenance projects that have been accomplished.  An amazing
amount of work in a short time!
Of course, ASCA’s most valuable resource is its people.  At this point, 461 students are enrolled from grades K through 8, and over 60 more children are
in the three and four year old Pre-K programs.  Sr. Eileen invited the faculty and staff to participate in two days of team building, professional training and
nuts and bolts planning for the upcoming school year.  ASCA is abundantly blessed in both the size of its enrollment and the quality of its faculty and staff.
Please continue to pray in gratitude for All Saints Academy, for its students and teachers, and for all those people who are working so hard to make the
school strong.  Remember that orientation days will happen from August 26th through 28th, and the first Liturgy of the school year will be held on
September 8th at 7:30 PM in St. Henry Church.
